Extra-Curricular Activities

As a part of our complete learning program we make sure our children never miss out on extra-curricular activities that add up as fun filled practical learning sessions. Some of our activities include: Field trips, Study tours, Role plays, Sports Day, Physical Education and Yoga, Concept Day and Cultural extravaganza!

Field Trips

Apart from the class room sessions we also have Field Trips for our little ones so that they get some hands on learning exposure to the real world of doing things. Nature is the best teacher and expanses of greenery are an easel to the young minds to paint their thoughts and sculpt their own understandings of their surroundings.

Study Tours

We try to blend our field trips with little fun filled study tours. Sometimes it is a visit to a park or a visit to the market place where they develop interactive skills.

Role Plays

We conduct role plays for better understanding of the concept thereby enhancing their speaking skills, perception and participation while having loads of fun.

Sports Day - “KREEDA VYBHAVA”

Sportsmanship is a great life skill that teaches us perseverance, healthy competition, tolerance and appreciation for others while automatically focusing on fitness. It is important for children to play in the open for at least 2 hours in a day and our sports day activities reiterate these very spirits and celebrate sports at par with academics.

Physical Education and Yoga

Good habits start early in life! At Swarna Jyothi apart from regular physical education hours we also have introduced Yoga sessions for our little ones where they learn basic Asanas.

Concept Day

Concept day is a monthly activity program introduced to highlight a particular concept for an absolute understanding of the concept with appropriate demonstrations and props. While identifying shapes, colors, fruits, vegetables are best taught with pictorial representations, our concept day themes like Occupational Day, Vegetables Day, Nutritional Food Day and Puppet shows and many more such activities form the basis for easy and instant learning.

Festive Spirit at Swarna Jyothi

Festivals are a vibrant part of our Indian culture that creates a spirit of oneness and bonding. It is through festivals that we learn about our traditions, culture, history and heritage. To inculcate the spirit of patriotism and a diverse India we celebrate all National Festivals like Independence Day, Republic Day, Teachers’ Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Children’s Day and religious festivals like Saraswathi Puja, Krishna Janmaashtami, Gowri Ganesha Festival, Deepawali, Ashta Lakshmi and Varamahalakshmi Puja, Raksha Bandhan, Christmas, Makara Sankranthi, Holi etc.

Parenting Sessions

Shaping young bright minds into responsible citizens for tomorrow is no small task. While Parenting is a wonderful learning and unlearning process it is also a challenging one at that which requires employing patience, love, empathy and discipline in the right proportions. With constrained spaces and hectic schedules, engaging children in meaningful activities in this internet era is the biggest challenge that most parents face. As a guiding support and for a better parenting experience, Swarna Jyothi organizes parenting sessions at regular intervals for the benefit of young parents, whose active participation is crucial in this journey called schooling at our temple of learning.

Annual Celebrations with a Difference

Our annual celebrations seek to include one and all where teachers, children and parents all get together to participate enthusiastically in our unique heritage theme based cultural programs. These theme based annual celebration have enthralled not just our extended family of teachers and parents but has also caught the attention of the media. Some of the highlights of our programs like “Santhe Vybhava” and “Samskrutika Vybhava” were telecasted by popular channels. These theme based celebrations are not just fun filled festivities but are an insightful rich tribute and reliving of our history, heritage, traditions and literature where we soak in the uniqueness of regional foods, local dresses, popular tourist destinations, art, culture, festivals, folk songs, dances and distinctiveness of every part of India.
